Baking Soda as extra help for clean laundry

When changing to organic laundry products I noticed that it does not get the whites as white as the toxic product we used before and I did actually expect that. But instead of going back to toxic, you can add a spoon of baking soda with the organic product (4-6kg laundry) and your white towels gets cleaner than before. Works great!

How to clean an antique lamp and other similar items

To clean old delicate items naturally like the lamp below is very easy. We found three solutions and all gave great results:

1: Vinegar and Salt. Remeber to clean with come water and dry the item
2: Fresh lemon juice. Remember to clean with some water and dry the item
3: Mild natural soap and water. No cleaning or drying is needed after treatment.

Restoring a coffer from 1800

This coffer from late 1800 we found in a antique store in Catania, Sicily. It is easy to find old furniture cheap in Sicily.

This one we decied just to clean with some natural soap and water. And then painted with ecological paint to keep the feeling of the coffer. For a more perfect finish just grind it before painting. The front, both short sides and the top we painted twice, but left the backside and inside with just one round of paint. This for sustainable thinking as you do not see those parts anyway.
